I am using datastage (ETL Tool) for past 6yrs, this is my test with Cognos Data Manager.
I have looked at some of the fact build jobs in data manager. In my fact build job it is extracting the data from a table called employee. it has a select query to extract empname and salary. The one thing which I haven’t found in whole job is the data type and length of these columns.
I know, one of the ways is to goto the database and check. But I want to know where can I find the datatype of these extract or load columns data type and lengths in cognos data manager. Is this information get stored anywhere in cognos data manager???
