What does 'unload cube' mean?

Hello,everyone!
If we right click the cube,we could see ‘unload cube’ .But what does it mean?
And what’s the ralation between it and feeders?
If I unload the cube,the calculation for consolidation will be zero,
feeders for for consolidation will not take effect.why?

cubes in TM1 are loaded into the servers memory.

So the option “Unload Cube” unloads the selected cube from the server’s memory.

If your cube is linked to other cubes, looking at a cell which depends on it will pull it back into RAM, so it’s not that useful. It can be used to refire conditional feeders when you change the flags which drive them,
