Unable to start IBM Cognos Services

I am unable to start the cognos service after configured. No errors while testing the authentication and cognos store but fail to start the service. Here’s the error occured:

Successfully launched a test JVM with the memory setting of ‘1536’. Note that this does not guarantee that IBM Cognos 8 will start and run successfully.

Kindly please help. I’d tried but still got few errors unfix. I am a newbie in this and I need to solve this issue asap. Thanks.

check the folowing:

  • Is the Cognos Service in Windows disabled?
  • Is the services started with sufficient permissions? re-enter the credentials for the Cognos 8 service in Windows Services.

Steps:
Go to the START menu, click “Run…”, type in “SERVICES.MSC” and click OK.
Windows Services should appear. Double-click the Cognos 8 service and click the “Log On” tab.
Re-enter the account name and password to be used by the Cognos 8 Service and click OK.
