Ocijdbc9 does not exist error when initializing metric store

Hi,

Trying to initialize a metric store in Oracle 10G and getting the following error:

ocijdbc9 does not exist error when initializing metric store

This has something to do with oracle i guess… ???

I am using cognos 8.4 on windows 2003 server

Hello,

be sure that you use the Oracle 10G version of classes12.jar.

  1. stop Cognos 8 services
  2. copy the classes12.jar from a Oracle 10G client installation to \c8\webapps\p2pd\WEB-INF\lib directory.
  3. start Cognos Again an test!
