Problem
IBM Cognos Controller Java Proxy' Service fails to get installed or registered with new 8.5 Installation
Cause
Maybe related to the types of user logged on, like Terminal Services, for the installation process.
Solution:
1. Check if the file ccrProxy.exe can be found in folder ...\C8\Server\
2. If file is present then it does not appear to have been registered as a Service.
3. Open Command Prompt in DOS mode and type with the quotes:
cmd "ccrproxy-service"
If this does not work do a reinstall of the complete controller installation.
