I am developing Active Reports using Cognos Report Studio 10.2.1. The performance is very poor when the master data set has many records. I google it about the issue and my understanding was the detail query will run the number of time compare to records founds in the master query.
You may justify that active reports are mainly designed for offline purpose so the number execution is not a big issue. Then what are the other ways/other tools to developing Interactive Dashboards ?.
If your answer would be workspace then what is the procedure for "chart to chart" interaction. I had seen only drill up and drill down action in workspace.
Kindly let me know the best practices for developing interactive Dashboard.
