I am new to Cognos Planning and I am planning to install planning C10 on a physical server this week. We are already using Cognos BI on a different server. My goal is to capture the data entered by planning modules for forecasting into the reports that are currently running in Cognos BI.
I would like to get some advise on best approach for the installation and configuration of cognos planning and how this will integrate with the existing BI content store and configuration file.

Hi Sam,
i think you should consider the “published tables” approach.
This way you can create within minutes a star schema and build a BI framework on it.
downside may be that it is not realtime… you have to schedule an update to the published tables in order to report the most recent planning data.
