I want to install cognos 8.4 version on windows 7 home premium 64 bit.
Kindly let me know of any issues with this installation.
Also is windows 7 compatible with transformer ?
which version of IIS or tomcat can i use for the installation. ?
Can I use any version of database like sql server 2005 and oracle 10g ?
Please any information regarding the installation would be very helpful

Cognos 8.4 does not support Windows 7 at all…

IIS and apache will both work and sql 2005 and oracle 10g as repository database as well. But check for the exact version the first link in this post.

Cognos 8.4.1 does support Windows 7!! 
But…Windows 7 is not a supported operating system for Transformer. ???
Better start looking for another OS my friend!
