Hi all,
I need to email a report in Cognos 8.4 in csv-file format. The file in email puts filename.csv but in email puts Excel symbol and opens in Excel.
any idea how to solve this?

The symbol that is displayed on the icon and the program with which the file is opened depends on the user’s computer settings and on how they have configured CSV files to be opened. When Microsoft Office is installed, it usually set’s excel as the default program for opening CSV files.
Users can change this setting in their Folder Options. They can also right click on the file and select “Open With” option to choose which program to use to open the file.
