Cognos 10 32-bit vs 64-bit

Hi,
What is the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit cognos 10 software and what are the pre requestic of the cognos 64 bit software. currently we are using 32- bit of cognos 8.4.1 software and we need to upgrade to cognos 10.1?? do we prefer the 64 bit of the cognos 10???

The just of it is that the JVM (For now, hopefully more later) will be able to use more memory. 64bit is not bound by the 2GB memory limit anymore.

PS. Don’t install 10.1.0, go with the latest release 10.1.1 RP1. TRUST ME. There are a ton of fixed issues in 10.1.1 that will drive you bonkers if you install 10.1.0. :wink:
