CM-REQ-4220 Cannot create object of type reportTemplate in location Public Folde

I am recieving error: “CM-REQ-4220 You cannot create an object of type “reportTemplate” in location “/Public Folders” because this location is of type “Content”” while trying to create a report template and saving it in Public Folders.

Can somebody help me in this issue.

normally you can save a template file wherever you like if you have sufficient permissions on the location (folder).

when you are a Cognos system administrator you should not get this (permission)error. What Cognos version are you using?
