we have a a few companies with the ‘old’ powerplay 7.3. But they want to receive cubes from another department whch use transformer 8.4. Can they open these unsecured cubes?
Yes you can!
Even with Powerplay 6 you can open unsecured cubes created by transformer 8.4
With secured cubes, i am not sure but i expect if you use series 7 authentication source it might works as well…
