Cognos 10 Business Intelligence Installation and Configuration

Hi ,

I have installed the cognos 10.1.1 in Linux. One content manager instance and one dispatcher instance in application server & one gateway instance in webserver.
But in application server I have used IBM java version and in web server I have use sun java version. is this will work? I understand that in webserver , java is using only for displaying the cognos configuration, not for running any services. Could you please confirm this .

this should not be a problem. The communication between the servers is done with protocols and standards. This is Operation System independently.
