You can encounter these errors moste likely during SDK developing or you may run into them in some other way.
It gives you the error message and sometimes a solution or hint to resolve your issue.

 

RSV-AOM-0001
The specified value '<IBM Cognos>' is not a valid enumeration value.
See the Cognos 8 Web Services Definition Language (WSDL) file for a list of valid enumerations and update the request.

RSV-AOM-0002
The element '<IBM Cognos>' is not a valid child element of the '<IBM Cognos>' element.
See the Cognos 8 WSDL file for a list of valid child elements for the offending element.

RSV-AOM-0003
The received SOAP request is missing the '<IBM Cognos>' element.
Specify the missing element.

RSV-AOM-0005
Failed to convert the character data for element '<IBM Cognos>' into '<IBM Cognos>' data.
See the Cognos 8 WSDL file for the data type of the offending element and update your request.

RSV-BBP-0009
The database Password could not be decrypted.
Specify a properly encrypted password on the TestDataSourceConnection method.

RSV-BBP-0010
The request did not include a report specification to be executed.
Provide a specification in the SOAP request and try again.

RSV-BBP-0011
The request did not include a report specification to be executed, or a reference to an object in Content Manager.
Provide either a specification or an object in the SOAP request and try again.

RSV-BBP-0016
There are no sessions currently available. Please contact your Administrator.
The server is busy. Wait and try again or get the administrator to increase the number of requests that can be handled by the system.

RSV-BBP-0017
The execution of the requested report has been cancelled.
The request failed because the conversation it references was canceled. Try running the report again.

RSV-BBP-0019
There are pending generated prompt pages that need parameters values. Only the The requested method is not valid here. Only the forward operation is allowed.

RSV-BBP-0020
Cognos Graphics Service did not return an object with the name '<IBM Cognos>'. Please review the specification or contact your Administrator.

The rsvpproperties.xml file was modified to explicitly disable session failover. Edit the file and set the property named FailoverEnabled to 1.

RSV-BBP-0028
Secondary request failed. The requested session does not exist and the secondary request does not contain enough information to recreate the session.
Please contact your Administrator.
The referenced session is currently in memory, and the request does not contain enough information to re-create the session in the correct state. See the Cognos 8 documentation to ensure
that the correct information is being passed in the SDK request. Specifically, check whether the
session is round tripping the conversation element returned by report server.

RSV-BBP-0029
Failed to cancel the request. The maximum wait time for a request to be cancelled has been exceeded. Please contact your Administrator.
This informational message can help diagnose system performance problems. The report server tried to cancel a query but could not get a handle to the object that is actually running the queries.

RSV-BBP-0030
Failed to cancel the request: <IBM Cognos>.
The report server tried to cancel a query, but Query Framework returned a failure message. See the Query Framework message to determine what action to take.

RSV-BBP-0032
The search path '<IBM Cognos/>' does not reference an object that contains a report specification.
A layout component reference in the V5 specification references an object in Content Manager
that does not contain a specification. Fix the report by correcting the search path in the layout
component reference.

RSV-CM-0000
Failed to create an event for this request. The request will continue to execute, but will not be registered with JSM. The exception caught is '<IBM Cognos>'.
Contact your administrator. The job service returned an error.

RSV-CM-0002
The user does not have execute permission on this report.
Modify the permissions for the report object.

This message appears when there is a syntax error in the report specification. Correct the specified error.

RSV-DR-0021
Unable to determine the value of parameter '' for detail query. The value is not defined at the level ('') of the master query upon which the iteration of the detail query is taking place.

RSV-DST-0001
Cannot save output. The report being executed must be specified as a reference to a Content Manager report.
Either remove the Save or Save As options, or specify an object in Content Manager rather than use an inline specification.

RSV-DST-0002
Multiple formats are not supported unless Save, Print, or Email is selected.
Specify a single output format, or select one or more of Save, Save As, Print, or Email.

RSV-DST-0003
You must specify Save, Print, or Email when bursting a report.
Remove the burst option, or specify one or more of Save, Save As, Print, or Email.

RSV-DST-0004
You must save the report output before you can mail a report link.
Either remove the email as a link option, or specify Save or Save As.

RSV-DST-0005
The requested format '<IBM Cognos>' is not supported.
Replace the specified format with a valid one. See the run option outputFormat.

RSV-DST-0008
Multiple locales are not supported unless Save, Print, or Email is selected.
Specify a single output locale, or select one or more of Save, Print, or Email.

RSV-DST-0009

Based on the information in the error message, ask the administrator to check what happened
with the external print command, and retry your print job again.

RSV-DST-0011
The printer name '<IBM Cognos>' contains one or more potentially unsafe characters.
Change the name of the printer or use a different printer.

RSV-DST-0012
An error occured while saving the output for the burst instance <IBM Cognos/> with the recipients (<IBM Cognos>). Here are the details: <param index="3" type="string"/>
The most likely cause is that the burst recipient list contains an invalid recipient. For more
information, see the details. If the problem is recipient related, correct the report or update the

called at the wrong time. The getOutput method should be called only immediately after receiving a status of responseReady from a call to the wait method.

This generic error message is typically followed by a more specific message.

RSV-SRV-0026
The request was cancelled.
This is an indicator processing facility (IPF) log message indicating that a request was canceled.

This message may appear when you perform an execute call and do not specify either the object or
specification parameters, or both.

RSV-SRV-0029
The user does not have the assigned capability to use bursting.
Remove the burst option or assign a user who has burst capability to run the report.

RSV-SRV-0030
The report was not found.
This message may appear if the specification property of the report object is empty.

RSV-SRV-0036
An unhandled application error has occurred. Please contact your Administrator.
The server encountered an unexpected fault.

RSV-SRV-0037
An unhandled application error has occurred while processing the WSDL message '<IBM Cognos>'. Please contact your Administrator.
