2 java.exe processes for Cognos 10?

Hi,

i installed Cognos 10 on a server and it is all working fine, but i saw something i do not understand.

In the processes list on the Cognos 10 server i see 2 java.exe processes. In the Cognos 8.x there was always one java.exe service.
What is the purpose of the second java.exe?

One java.exe process is for the Cognos 8 report engine and the other java.exe process is for the Cognos 10 query engine.

I believe you also can disable the Cognos 10 query engine in Cognos Configuration Manager and use only 1 java.exe process…
